Is AI Money free?
Yes, and not as a trial. Recording money, accounts, categories, budgets, reports, savings, debts, subscriptions and the currency converter are free with no expiry.
Pro adds the things that cost us money to run: automatic capture from bank SMS, Google Pay and Apple Pay, sync across devices, higher AI allowances, the shared space with your partner, and it removes ads. Full comparison.
Does it connect to my bank account?
No. AI Money never asks for bank credentials and has no access to your bank.
What it does is read what your bank already sends you: the SMS notification on Android, the wallet notification, the receipt in your hand. It cannot move money, and it will never ask you to log into your bank.
Does my data leave my phone?
Your ledger lives on your phone and works offline.
What does travel: your profile, so it survives a reinstall, and the text or image of anything you ask us to turn into a transaction, which goes to our server and then to OpenAI. Your whole ledger is uploaded only if you turn on cloud sync, a Pro feature. Details.
Can I use it without an account?
Yes. Guest mode is the full app. The catch is that the data lives only on that phone, with no way to recover it. You can create an account later and keep everything you recorded. How.
Does it work offline?
For everything local, yes: recording, editing, balances, budgets, reports.
The features that need our server are the ones that read text or images for you, and exchange rates, which are cached for 24 hours so they survive a flight.
How do I record an expense from WhatsApp?

Can I track two currencies?
Yes, and the model is that each currency stays in its own world unless you ask for conversion. How it works.
Can I share expenses with my partner?
Yes, through a shared fund. What your partner sees is the fund and its movements, never your accounts or your personal transactions. Couples.
What happens when I change phones?
Sign in on the new phone. Your profile returns. Your transactions return if you had cloud sync on, or from a backup you made. In guest mode there is nothing to restore, so create the account before you switch.
How do I cancel Pro?
In your store, App Store or Google Play. Deleting your AI Money account does not stop the billing.
