Create your account

You can start using AI Money without creating anything. The app opens, you record expenses, and nothing asks you for an email. That mode is called guest, and it is a real mode, not a demo: your ledger, your categories and your reports all work.

What guest does not have is a way back. Your data lives only on that phone, so if you lose the device or reinstall the app, it is gone.

The three levels

GuestAccount, freePro
Record income and expensesYesYesYes
Accounts, categories, budgets, reportsYesYesYes
Savings, debts, subscriptionsYesYesYes
Assistant with daily limitsYesYesHigher limits
Profile that survives a reinstallNoYesYes
WhatsApp captureNoYesYes, no daily cap
Invite friends and earn rewardsNoYesYes
Automatic capture from SMS, Google Pay, Apple PayNoNoYes
Sync across devicesNoNoYes
Shared space with your partnerNoNoYes, as host

Guest can still buy Pro, and the app warns you before you do, because a subscription tied to no account is harder to restore later.

Signing in

Four ways in, and all of them land in the same place:

  • Email and password. You will receive a verification email. Until you verify, the account is not considered real.
  • Google
  • Apple
  • Facebook

Pick whichever you will still have access to in three years. That is the only criterion that matters.

Moving from guest to an account

Create the account from Settings while you are still using the guest mode, and your existing data comes with you. The app promotes the same session instead of starting a new one, so the ledger you already built stays where it is.

Do it before you change phones, not after. Once the app is uninstalled there is nothing left to migrate.

tip

If you already have a guest ledger and you sign in on a different device with a brand new account, the two do not merge. Sign in on the phone that has the data.

What happens after onboarding

Your profile document is created when you finish onboarding, not the moment you register. That profile holds your name, country, currency, language and preferences, and it is what lets your setup come back after a reinstall.

Your transactions are a separate story: they stay on the phone unless you turn on cloud sync, which is a Pro feature. See Privacy.

Deleting your account

Settings has Delete my account, on both iPhone and Android. You confirm by typing a word, and the deletion removes your profile and the data associated with your user on our side.

Two things worth knowing before you tap it:

  1. Deleting the account does not cancel your subscription. Apple and Google own that billing cycle. Cancel it in App Store or Google Play subscriptions first, otherwise the charge keeps coming.
  2. Local data on the phone goes away when you uninstall the app, and it is not recoverable from us, because we never had it.
