Record expenses from WhatsApp
Send "coffee 12000" to the assistant and it becomes a transaction. No app to open, no form to fill. It works with text, with voice notes and with photos of receipts, and it is available on the free plan.
This is the most used capture channel in AI Money, and the only one that works identically on iPhone and Android.
Linking your number
You need an account for this, guest mode cannot link WhatsApp.
- Open Settings, then the WhatsApp card, and ask for a code.
- The app shows you a six character code. It is valid for five minutes.
- Send that code to the assistant on WhatsApp, from the number you want to link. The app opens the chat for you with the number already loaded.
- That is it. Sending the code from your own number is what proves the number is yours.
If the code expires, ask for another one. There is a small rate limit on how often codes can be generated, so wait a moment between attempts.

The assistant replies with a confirmation of what it recorded. That reply is not decoration, it is the handle you use to fix things.
Fixing what it recorded
Reply to the confirmation message and say what is wrong: change the amount, the category, the title. To delete, reply and say so. If you do not reply to a specific message, the assistant assumes you mean the most recent transaction.
Which account it lands in
By default the assistant does not know your accounts, so transactions arrive with no account and land in Principal.
Turn on Accounts in WhatsApp in Settings, in the WhatsApp card, and you choose which of your accounts the assistant is allowed to recognise. Then "I spent 20000 with Nequi" lands in your Nequi account and the confirmation names it.
What gets shared to make that work is deliberately minimal: the name, optional nickname and currency of the accounts you selected. Never balances, never the last four digits of a card, never anything else. You can turn it off at any time, and the selection is removed.
If you have the list configured, name a payment method and the assistant still cannot match it, the confirmation tells you which name it could not link and where to fix it. If you have not configured the list at all, it stays quiet, because it has no way to know your accounts exist.
When the transactions appear in the app
There is no push. Transactions you record by WhatsApp show up when you open the app, which then pulls everything new. If you record ten things during the day and open the app at night, all ten are there.

Unlinking or changing your number
Unlink from the same Settings card. Your transactions stay; only the link goes away.
Change number: repeat the linking flow from the new number. When it succeeds, the new number replaces the old one.
Troubleshooting
My WhatsApp transactions are not showing up. Open the app and give it a few seconds. If they still do not appear, check that you are signed in with the same account you linked.
The assistant did not answer. Check that you are writing from the linked number. Messages from a number that is not linked to any account are not processed.
It recorded the wrong amount. Reply to the confirmation with the correction. If it happens repeatedly with a particular format, tell us at servicios@cuentate.com, because that is a prompt problem on our side, not yours.
